The team getting ready to head out up the mountain.
This is the view from the Bunny Flats parking lot. This is where the hike begins at 6,900'.
The Sierra Club cabin at Horse Camp. This is the first major stop along the way. The cabin acts as a caretaker's cabin and an emergency shelter. Water is available from a moutain spring and "natural composting" outhouses are provided.
From Horse Camp you head out over Oberman's Causway towards climber's gulley.
Looking down on Lake Helen partway up Avalanch Gulch.
Looking down on the next climber, with Casaval Ridge near by.
Looking up the trail, headed towards Red Banks and the thumb (not visible).
